Finding Non-vegan Dairy Free Baby Food

Dairy-Free Baby Meals for Meat and Fish Lovers

When looking for dairy-free baby food, you'll probably be flooded with options that are eithervegan or allergen-free. While these can be a good option in certain circumstances, most parents would rather not sacrifice meat and fish as well as as dairy. This can make it tricky to find nutritious meals that cater to specific dietary needs without the compromise on not having important natural protein sources like meat and fish.

Keeping Up Protein Intake with Dairy-Free Options

If your baby has a dairy allergy or lactose intolerance, it can be hard to know if they're getting a balanced diet in general. So keeping other protein sources like meat and fish in their diet regularly means they receive a balanced and nutritious meal. Unlike other baby food brands you might see that opt for fully vegan options, at V&Me, we've gone for the approach that a dairy-free diet doesn't mean your baby should miss out on the nutritional benefits of animal proteins.

Our Dairy-Free Ingredients

To replace dairy in our meals, we've chosen oat milk as our alternative (soya milk is also a good choice but lots of babies with dairy allergies can react to this as well!) Specifically, we use Oatly Barista for its high protein content and lack of emulsifiers. For cream, we use Oatly Cream, and for butter, Flora vegan butter.

Meat and Fish on our Menu

Our dairy-free meals contain the same level of variety of meat and fish options that our regular menu does, with all the protein and fatty acids necessary for your baby's healthy development. Every day you’ll find at least one meat or fish based meal along with one veggie meal. Our spring menu currently features Trout, Mackerel, Sea bass and cod, all of which are delivered fresh from our sustainable fish supplier!

Benefits of Non-Vegan Dairy-Free Meals

Meat and fish in your baby's diet can offer a range of health benefits:

High-Quality Protein: Essential for growth and development.

Iron: Found in red meats, Essential for brain development.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Found in fish, Essential for brain health.

Vitamin B12: Found in animal products, helps support nervous system health.
